Nizamabad simmers at 44 degree celcius, no relief soon
Nizamabad: The temperature in Nizamabad touched 44 0C on Saturday. The mercury has been hovering around the 430C to 440C mark in Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts over the past few days. The temperatures have been rising since April second week in the district.
Sunstroke deaths reported from various parts of the district. Numerous people fall ill due to sunstroke over the last 10 days. The victims were hospitalized in Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Bodhan and Armoor towns. Doctors advised people not to venture into the hot weather as they could be easily affected by the heat.
Due to highest temperature in Nizamabad, people are not interested to come out from their homes for their daily needs. Roads, shops and markets witnessed with a rush only in the morning or evening hours. To meet the demand of customers, shop owners are forced to open the shops still 11 pm.
Meanwhile, elected representatives too changed their programme schedules due to hot weather conditions. As a result, Rythu Bandhu and pattadar passbooks distribution is being conducted only in morning and evening hours.
Meanwhile, day time power cuts are bothering the people. While officials cite emergency load shedding, it is the people who are suffering.
