The Indian government has advised Indians in Niger to return to India as soon as possible. The Ministry of external affairs has set up a helpline for Indians in Niger at +227 9975 9975.
The AP NRTS has appealed to all Telugu people in Andhra Pradesh who have family members in Niger to contact the helpline numbers and provide their details. The helpline will provide assistance to people returning to Andhra Pradesh from Niger.
The AP NRTS has also advised people who do not need to stay in Niger to leave the country as soon as possible. They should take utmost care regarding safety while coming through the land borders, as the airspace in Niger is currently closed. Those planning to travel to Niger are also advised to reconsider their travel plans until conditions return to normal.
