APPA demands probe into harassment of students in corporate school

NELLORE: The AP Parents’ Association (APPA) demanded action against management of Sri Chaitanya School at Kavali under Child Rights Protection Act for harassing students who could not pay fees on time.

APPA secretary Narahari Sikharam alleged that the school has pulled up some Class VI to X students for delay in paying fees ignoring the various GOs related to conditions on fee collection and management of the schools.

He lamented over the silence of the government and education department when the corporate schools are fleecing the parents in the name of different fees.

Narahari also slammed the authorities for ignoring the private schools when they are violating the rules in vogue.

He demanded a detailed probe into the failures in implementation of government orders strictly in the educational institutions.

Meanwhile, Nellore District Education Officer P. Ramesh said the incident in the corporate school at Kavali came to his notice and he has ordered the Deputy DEO, Kavali, to enquire into the incident.
