OMC Jr doctors protest over pending stipend
HYDERABAD: Junior doctors at Osmania Medical College (OMC) began their strike over nonpayment of stipends by boycotting all except emergency duties on Monday, but resumed duties after being given an assurance of payment within three days. The Osmania Telangana Junior Doctors Association (JUDA) has alleged that first-year post graduate students have been working since seven without getting their stipends.
After they gathered at the college, they agreed to hold a meeting with the Principal. Post the meeting, the Principal issued a circular stating an assurance that the pending stipends would be cleared within three days.
