CM Jagan will be responsible if anything happens to me: Dastagiri
ANANTAPUR: Sk. Dastagiri, who has turned approver in the murder case of Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, says Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy should be held responsible in case anything happens to him or his family members.
In support of his contention, the accused number 4 in the case said big shots involved in the murder case, including MP Avinash Reddy and his father Bhaskar Reddy, are close to Jagan.
"Many top people are puppets in their hands. I am the most ordinary person," Dastagiri observed while speaking to media on Thursday after meeting CBI ASP Ram Singh in Kadapa. The accused had earlier expressed his fears in a representation made to earlier YSR district SP Anbu Rajan.
In this context, Dastagiri said a group of unidentified persons had come to his residence for purchasing his pet dog. The dog died a couple of days ago.
Significantly, Dastagiri has become a central figure in the sensational murder case after he turned approver in the case. Being A-4, he has since been granted bail. But two other accused in the case were still in judicial custody. Prime suspect in the case, E. Gangi Reddy is out on bail granted by a local court.
The murder case has been taking interesting twists and turns for the past three years.
The murder accused said gunmen allotted to him for his protection had been changed without prior information to the district police. In this regard, he maintained that the entire police force of AP is under the control of Jagan Mohan Reddy, as he is Chief Minister of the state.
Dastagiri, a former driver of Vivekananda Reddy, went on to accuse state police of ignoring his security, even though he has made representations for his protection several times to the YSR district police.
