Hyderabad: Senior IAS officer T.K. Sreedevi, who was transferred from the post of commissioner of commercial taxes, took a dig at the Election Commission for her sudden transfer.
She posted on X (formerly Twitter): "How can an officer who has taken charge 3 working days before the visit of the CEC to the state be held responsible for the performance of the department? Just asking?? (sic)."
She also posted a news clipping that appeared in newspapers on Thursday about the commercial taxes department unearthing Rs 42 crore GST refund scam and asked, "Can this be called lax?? Just asking?? (sic)"
Sreedevi is among district collectors and police officials who were transferred by the EC on Wednesday following complaints that they were discharging duties in a manner that benefits the BRS in the Assembly polls.
