Vijayawada: The administrative and media hall of the district Public Relations department was opened in the premises of the state guest house on Thursday.
Commissioner of Information and Public Relations, T. Vijay Kumar Reddy said the services of the information and public relations department are a prerequisite to enable people to utilize the welfare schemes for their benefit. “We disseminate vital information.”
NTR district collector Dr S. Dilli Rao and joint-collector Dr P. Sampath Kumar were present.
Vijaykumar said the government has been implementing over 35 welfare schemes. He thanked the NTR district administration for providing the necessary amenities for the DPRO office. Collector Dilli Rao said the information department acted as a bridge between the public and the government in helping reach the schemes to the people.
