Kakinada: A lorry dragged a bike for 20 kilometres on the highway near Koyyalagudem on Monday, before the Devarapalli police stopped the lorry and arrested the driver.
According to the police, some vehicle owners had placed their vehicles on the roadside and gone to a nearby hotel when a speeding lorry rammed into the vehicles. A bike got stuck under the lorry, and the lorry dragged it for 20 kilometres.
The Koyyalagudem police informed the Devarapalli police, who stopped the lorry and registered a case. The bike was crushed under the lorry.
The police have taken the driver into custody and are investigating the incident.
