YSRC man sets out on Padayatra to Tirupati for Jagan

Visakhapatnam: A hard-core party loyalist and local leader of the YSRC in Tekkali in Srikakulam, Gurunadh Yadav, set out on Padayatra from Tekkali to Tirupati to pray to God to bless Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to become chief minister for a second term.

Gurunadh started off five days ago and reached the Visakhapatnam YSRC party office at Yendada on Monday morning. Visakhapatnam district party president Kola Guruvulu, MLC Vamsi Krishna Yadav, senior leader Akkaramani Venkata Rao, and Ravi Reddy welcomed Gurunadh to the party office and felicitated him.

Addressing a gathering, Gurnundadh said the poor benefited the most from the welfare schemes that were being launched for the last four and a half years.

“Impressed with the implementation of the schemes, other states started copying them,” Yadav said.

He said the schemes improved the quality of life of the people, and all of them wanted Jagan Mohan Reddy to continue as the chief minister so that poverty would be eliminated from the state.

Other leaders from Tekkali K. Mallesu, P. Sai, Karri Jagadish, and K Naveen are accompanying Gurunadh.

“We all appreciate his determination. He has been walking for the last six days and still looked fresh,’’ said a senior party leader of YSRC, Venkata Rao.
