Humrahi, a guide for family members of Army personnel and retirees released

HYDERABAD: ‘Humrahi,’ a guide book on the rights and benefits of the family members of Indian Army personnel and retirees, was launched on Monday at Milkha Singh Stadium, 1 EME Centre. The family members of several retired officers and serving personnel were present.

Brig. Suresh G., Commandant, 1 EME Centre, and officer in-charge, said the book covered all entitlements required when the soldier's life turns towards any eventuality including retirement, battle casualty, physical casualty and more.

The booklet was formulated under the stewardship of Col. Bhupendra Singh of the EME.

Brig. Suresh said the booklet answered questions like the family’s monetary, education and job rights in the event of a ward or spouse is killed in battle, pension rights for service personnel and health benefits. ‘Humrahi’ was a guide to all the questions, rights and procedures, he said and presented case studies of personnel missing out on benefits due to a lack of knowledge.
