Collectors busy mobilizing people for Ambedkar event

HYDERABAD: For the first time, district administrations across the state are busy mobilising people for the unveiling of the Dr B. R. Ambedkar’s statue today. The statue will be unveiled by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

District collectors conducted video conferences and assigned the task of shifting and safe return of the people to district officials. The state-level officials are also coordinating with their district counterparts to make the programme a grand success.

A target to get 300 people from each Assembly constituency for the unveiling programme has been set.

Liaison officers of each bus would have the name, cell number, and other details of the people who will travel to Hyderabad for the event. Identity cards have also been issued to the participants. The collectors have asked the liaison officers to reach Hyderabad by Friday afternoon. Route map and parking sites have been decided.

In view of the scorching heat, drinking water bottles, ORS packets, and first aid kits, besides arrangements for food have been made.
