HYDERABAD: SCCL director (finance and personal) N. Balram said that Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) was implementing the recommendations of Dr B.R. Ambedkar. This included special provisions for staff from the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, and women, he said.
He was speaking at an event at Singareni Bhavan to celebrate the 132nd birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar.
SCCL is the only coal company in the country which declared a holiday on April 14, he said.
Director (E&M) D. Satyanarayana Rao, general managers M. Suresh (coordination) and M.Subba Rao (finance) also spoke. Singareni staffer and poet Jayaraj detailed the inspirational life of Ambedkar on the occasion.
