KARIMNAGAR: Upset with his mother for reprimanding him for excessive use of a mobile phone, a 17-year-old boy hanged himself at Kammaripeta thanda of Konaraopet mandal in Rajanna Sircilla district on Friday.
According to the police, the boy, identified as Dinesh, was the only son of Bhukya Raju and Jyothi. Dinesh was reportedly told by his mother to reduce his viewing time on the mobile phone. She reportedly chided him for his mobile phone addiction.
Saddened with his mother for beating him, Dinesh went into the nearby forest and took the extreme step, the police said adding that he recorded a video of his act. In the video, Dinesh requested his parents to look after their health and perform his sister’s marriage on a grand note by keeping his photo beside. He asked his friends not to look for him since they cannot find his body for at least 15 days.
Villagers found the dead body and alerted police, who shifted it to the hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered and further probe is on.
