''Karnataka is releasing water to Tamil Nadu, but at the same time the continuing attacks on Tamil people in the state cannot be justified''.
Puducherry: Puducherry Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy on Tuesday condemned the attacks on Tamilians and their properties in neighbouring state of Karnataka over Cauvery water dispute.
Talking to reporters on the completion of 100 days of Congress government in Puducherry, Mr Narayanasamy said the attacks on Tamil people are painful and unacceptable.
“Karnataka is releasing water to Tamil Nadu, but at the same time the continuing attacks on Tamil people in the state cannot be justified. It is a serious matter that Tamil people did not have any protection in the state,” he said.
