AP Central University moving to own campus from next academic year

Anantapur: Anantapur collector M. Gowthami said the AP Central University, currently functioning from the building of a private engineering college on outskirts of Anantapur, will move to its permanent campus at Janthalur in BK Samudram mandal, about 15 km from Anantapur.

The collector reviewed the progress of construction at the Janthalur campus, where the university and hostel buildings are under construction.

Currently, students from various states have been facing inconvenience at the existing location of the university, as it is quite cramped.

Gowthami ordered the engineering wing to restart construction work from Monday. She directed AP Transco to complete the land acquisition process for setting up a separate 33 KV substation. She asked rural water supply officials to complete works for providing water to the campus at the earliest.
