ADILABAD: Amid the speculations of BJP MP Soyam Bapu Rao joining the Congress, the news is making rounds in the political circles that TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy is likely to attend the wedding of the former’s son Venkatesh on May 21 in Adilabad.
Bapu Rao, who was in the Congress, joined BJP ahead of the parliamentary elections in 2019.
It is said that Adivasi leader Vedma Bojju of Utnoor joined the Congress with the mediation of Bapu Rao in August 2021 and later he was made TPCC state general secretary. Bojju is a strong contender for the party ticket from Khanapur Assembly constituency.
Recently, BJP leader Kandi Srinivas Reddy joined the Congress through Bapu Rao and TPCC state secretary Sattu Mallesh.
Now, Sattu Mallesh was tasked with luring the leaders of other parties into Congress in the Assembly constituencies including Boath, Adilabad, and Nirmal of the erstwhile Adilabad district.
