Promote tourism in Visakhapatnam: GVL
Visakhapatnam: BJP MP G.V.L. Narasimha Rao asked the travel industry and hotel associations' representatives to promote tourism in Visakhapatnam as part of the ‘Vision Visakhapatnam 2030’ initiative.
The BJP MP stressed the need to establish ‘Brand Visakhapatnam’ as a distinctive vacation destination with its unique natural resources and beauty during the meeting with the representatives on Sunday in Visakhapatnam. The discussion, according to MP Narasimha Rao, was intended to determine the viability of turning Visakhapatnam into a high-end tourism destination and to create a road map for doing so.
Meetings with the hotel and tourism industries revealed a severe lack of competent people with knowledge of hospitality, housekeeping, and cooking. According to MP GVL, by building the required infrastructure and training facilities, the tourism industry presents a fantastic potential for educating and hiring the local youth.
The MP promised to work with government organisations to establish these appropriate facilities and infrastructure in Visakhapatnam. Srinath Chittori, the chairman of the Visakhapatnam chapter of the AP Chamber of Commerce, Granthi Rajesh, the vice-chairman of the CII, and officials from the hotel, travel, and tourism industries were present at the meeting.
