Visakhapatnam: A well-marked low pressure area over west central and adjoining areas of east central and south Bay of Bengal has moved west north-westwards.
It concentrated into a depression and lay centred at 8:30 hours on Wednesday over west-central Bay of Bengal near 14.5°N and 86.8°E, about 510 km southeast of Visakhapatnam, 650 km south-southeast of Paradip and 790 km south of Digha.
The depression will recurve north-northeast wards and reach northwest Bay of Bengal off the Odisha coast on November 17 morning and north Odisha-West Bengal coast on November 18 morning.
Lower tropospheric north easterly winds are prevailing over Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.
