Hyderabad: Even as officials from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) are probing the casino case against Chikoti Praveen Kumar and Dasari Madhava Reddy, those from the Income Tax (IT) department are keeping an eye on the gambling activities in Gudiwada suspecting that Praveen Kumar is organising such event during Sankranti.
A number of complaints have been lodged with the Union ministry of home, ED and IT department by several persons alleging that crores of rupees have been exchanged by hawala for the gambling event in Gudivada.
Based on the complaints, IT officials are set to register cases. They have reportedly asked the complainants to furnish evidence for further investigation.
The ED officials, who grilled the staff and relatives of minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, have taken a decision to go ahead with their investigation into the Gudivada gambling case.
