North Andhra Projects: Ministers, Leaders head for Progress Check
Visakhapatnam: Ministers and top leaders of north Andhra, led by YSRC regional coordinator Y.V. Subba Reddy, will embark on a three-day project tour this weekend. Their aim: assessing progress and informing residents about major initiatives underway in the region.
The itinerary includes Bhogapuram International Airport (Saturday), Vizianagaram government medical college (Sunday), and Mulapeta Seaport in Srikakulam (Monday).
Bhogapuram, once stalled due to land issues, has been revived under the Jagan Mohan Reddy government, promising a new era of development and local employment. "The first civilian aircraft will land as promised," declared Subba Reddy.
The Rs 500 crore Vizianagaram medical college aims to bring healthcare expertise closer to residents, reducing their dependence on corporate hospitals in Visakhapatnam.
The Mulapeta seaport carries the weight of potential for Srikakulam's development and job creation. "This port can stem the tide of migration for young people seeking work," Subba Reddy said.
The Uddanam kidney research and super speciality hospital, along with YSR Sujaladhara's safe drinking water project, aim to tackle the root causes of kidney ailments in the region.
