Officials Begin Preparations for Parliament Elections

Nizamabad: The district administration began arrangements for the parliamentary elections. As per the directives from the Election Commission of India, the officials focussed on the counting of votes, distribution of poll material and strong room for Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). Parking facilities and security arrangements are also observed for the Parliament elections.

District election officer and collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu, along with additional collector P.Yadi Reddy, visited RK Engineering College in Bodhan on Thursday to make arrangements for the MP elections. Under the Nizamabad Parliament constituency, seven Assembly constituencies including Nizamabad Urban, Nizamabad Rural, Bodhan, Armoor, Balkonda, Korutla and Jagtial will go for elections.

The officials interacted with the college authorities to make the arrangements for the elections. The Collector directed the officials to submit a detailed report on field-level infrastructure. He said that officials at the Assembly constituency level should find out the suitable places for the election arrangements at the earliest. Bodhan tahsildar Gangadhar was also present.
