SCR Vijayawada Division Holds Pension Adalat
Vijayawada: Vijayawada division of South Central Railway conducted Pension Adalat – 2023 at the Railway Divisional Auditorium in Vijayawada on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Vijayawada divisional railway manager (DRM) Narendra A. Patil said the Pension Adalat has been held to redress grievances related to pensions, family pensions, gratuity and settlement dues.
The DRM said pensioners can also approach Personnel and Accounts officers for resolving their grievances on any working day without waiting for the next Pension Adalat.
Narendra Patil pointed out that Vijayawada division has around 26,000 pensioners. But only 64 grievances had been received at Friday’s adalat, which reflects efficiency of the division in resolving grievances in a timely manner.
He said Vijayawada division currently has 101 pension cases pending, including 64 received on Friday. Of the 37 earlier cases, 30 have been resolved involving an amount of Rs 5,38,957. Of the 64 cases received on Friday, four have been cleared on the spot.
ADRM (Infrastructure) D. Srinivasa Rao, ADRM (Operations) M. Srikanth and SBI Centralised Pension Processing Centre deputy general manager G.S.R. Mohan Rao participated in the programme.
