BJYM workers storm PSC office, arrested

Hyderabad: Begum Bazaar police on Wednesday arrested seven Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers in connection with the protest and vandalism at TSPSC office in Nampally over the question paper leakage issue. The accused are identified as A. Banu Prakash, BJYM state president; P. Shiva Shankar, spokesperson; B Pavan Reddy, district president, Medchal; Jamalpur Ayush, state office coordinator; Aenuganti Raju Netha, social media convenor; Muddade Manmadha, spokesperson and Pujari Ramu, state executive member.

On Tuesday, the arrested accused, along with several other party workers, protested at the TSPSC office. They broke the barricades, climbed the main gate of the campus and damaged the entrance board. They also jumped into the commission premises and staged a protest inside and also tried to barge into the offices. They were initially taken into preventive custody. Subsequently, a case was registered against the seven persons under sections 143, 427, 448 and 353 of the IPC and also prevention of damage to public property (PDPP) Act and arrested them.

They were produced before the court for judicial remand on Wednesday.
