Two toddlers succumb to injuries after falling from the balcony
HYDERABAD: In separate incidents, two three-year-old children succumbed to injuries after they accidentally fell from the balcony.
In the first case, D. Aridhya succumbed to injuries after he fell from the balcony of his third-floor flat in Shantinagar, Golnaka, Amberpet police said. At about 5 pm on Friday, he climbed on a stool that was attached to the balcony and accidentally toppled over.
His father D. Prasanth and mother D. Jyothika, upon realising what had happened, rushed Aridhya to a private hospital where the doctor declared the child dead, Amberpet police said.
In a separate case, Syed Farhan, who accidentally fell from the third floor while playing in his apartment’s balcony in Habeebnagar on April 13, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a private hospital early on Saturday morning.
According to Habeebnagar police Farhan slipped through the grills of the balcony. He was the second son of Syed Nadeem and Farahana Begum. Police registered cases and suspicious death and shifted the bodies in both incidents to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
