Some dealers not issuing bills to consumers in AP: Officials
Vijayawada: Legal metrology authorities carried out inspections on dealers of pulses and cereals and noticed that some dealers were not issuing bills to consumers recently in several parts of the state.
The authorities advised the consumers to insist on taking purchase bills from the dealers without fail and asked the consumers to make note that the dealers should show GST component in the bills for purchase of pulses and cereals of five kg, 10 kg, 20 kg, and 25 kg, and added that the bags that weigh more than 26 kg did not attract GST component.
They also inspected wholesale and retail rice stores selling packaged rice in bags of five kg, 10 kg, 20 kg, and 25 kg where GST was charged and also found bags over 25 kg where GST was exempted.
