Vijayawada: BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari underlined the importance of younger generations imbibing the great values of freedom fighters on occasion of the 77th Independence Day celebrations.
Speaking after unfurling the national flag at the party office on Tuesday, she paid tributes to freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives and liberated the India from the foreign yoke.
Purandeswari wanted the great values propounded by freedom fighters to be sustained by the young generation.
She underlined that India is known for its unity in diversity, where peace is prevailing with no conflicts of any sort.
The AP BJP chief appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiating a series of welfare schemes for the benefit of all sections of people in the country. She maintained that it is under Modi’s rule that they are all getting justice.
She expressed confidence that welfare schemes and developmental works being initiated by the centre will help India progress further.
