Governor, Kishan partake in Viksit Bharat Sankalp yatra
Hyderabad: Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan said that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in five states, was important in accelerating the saturation of welfare schemes and ensuring timely delivery of benefits to beneficiaries.
She was speaking online at an event hosted at the mandal parishad development office at Bammaraspet in Medchal Makajgiri district. The event featured the administration of a pledge for the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, followed by testimonies from beneficiaries who shared their personal experiences of transformation under various government programme, under the theme "Meri Kahaani Meri Zabaani" (My Story, My Voice).
In another programme, TS BJP president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy flagged off a vehicle at Chinna Golconda in Shamshabad mandal. He said the yatra would continue to through the villages till Republic Day. It will provide information on Central government schemes and developmental programmes and seek requisitions and applications from the people.
“The nation has to be developed by burying differences of politics, castes, religions and languages. PM Modi aims to root out poverty and improve basic infrastructure in the country,” he said.
