HYDERABAD: Special Operations Team of Cyberabad nabbed 13 persons organising betting on horse races at Attapur in Hyderabad on Thursday. Deposits amounting to Rs 7.50 lakh in bank accounts of organisers were frozen. Besides, Rs 51,000 cash and other material were also seized from their possession. They were handed over to Attapur police for further investigation.
Police said Ravi Kumar Reddy and Joji Reddy, the main organisers were running the racket, organising betting on the races held in Malakpet Race Course.
Watching the races live, the duo call for bets in whatsapp groups and after
completion of the race, the amount is transferred through Phonepe wallets.
