Rescued sloth bear released in Amrabad Reserve
HYDERABAD: A male sloth bear rescued from Suryapet was released in the Amrabad Tiger Reserve on Monday.
As per the Nehru Zoo Park officials, a 10-year-old male sloth was rescued from a residential area in Suryapet and was brought to the city zoo for observation.
“The sloth bear seemed to have wandered into the residential area from the wild. It was brought to the zoo and kept under observation. After the zoo vet doctors gave a fitness certificate, the bear was released in the wild area of Amrabad Tiger Reserve as per the instructions of the senior officials”.
The bear was released in the Achampet area of the tiger reserve late evening on Monday by the zoo and forest officials.
