Continuous drinking water for Peapully in two months: Buggana

Kurnool: Finance minister Buggana Rajendranath emphasised on the need to construct new roads in remote villages of Dhone constituency, and assured that every household in Peapully mandal will have access to drinking water within the next two months.

He inaugurated new roads in Pepully, built at a cost of Rs5.5 crore, on Tuesday and also unveiled a plaque for the four-kilometre Garladinne-Alebad road, built at a cost of Rs3 crore. Another road between Munimadugu and Alebad was inaugurated during a padayatra.

Rajendranath, who received a warm welcome from locals upon his arrival in Munimadugu, walked with the people from nearby areas and interacted with them regarding their issues.

Later, he conducted a review meeting at his camp office in Betamcherla to assess the progress of temple development projects in Dhone. Rajendranath reviewed the Rs1.74 crore development project of the Kambagiri Swamy temple in Peapully and the Gundala Chennakesavaswamy Temple in Dhone, to be developed at a cost of Rs1.90 crore. The construction of the Betamcherla Anjaneya Swamy temple at a cost of Rs1.50 crore was also discussed in detail.

The finance minister also directed officials to ensure the completion of all these projects by December. AP State Meat Corporation chairman Sriramulu, zilla parishad chairman Y. Papireddy, agriculture advisory council member Mettu Venkateswar Reddy, ZPTC member Sriram Reddy, MPP vice president Bhuvanesh Reddy, former ZPTC member Dileep Chakravarthy, Alebad sarpanch Paramesh Nayak and others were present.
