Kadapa Court Denies Custody Petition for B. Tech Ravi
ANANTAPUR: In a setback for the Kadapa police, the Kadapa Court on Friday dismissed their petition seeking two-day custody of B.Tech Ravi, the Pulivendula TD incharge. Ravi was arrested on November 14 in connection with a 10-month-old case of allegedly attacking police at the Kadapa airport during a visit by TD general secretary Nara Lokesh.
Ravi was sent to judicial custody on November 12, and the police subsequently filed a petition seeking two-day police custody to interrogate him further. However, the court dismissed the petition, citing insufficient grounds for an extended detention.
Meanwhile, the court also scheduled a hearing for Ravi's bail petition on November 21.
