VIJAYAWADA: NTR district collector Dr S. Dilli Rao, along with joint collector P. Sampath Kumar, Vijayawada municipal commissioner Swapnil Dinakar Pundkar, and sub-collector Aditi Singh, on Saturday inspected the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) Stadium in Vijayawada, where Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will be participating in Semi-Christmas celebrations on December 20.
As many as 2,500 Christian elders and pastors, besides another 5,000 members of the community will be attending the state-level celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, the collector asked the officials to ensure that all necessary arrangements are made for the celebrations, including parking, as people from across the state will be participating in the Semi-Christmas programme. He also said that a separate parking facility should be provided for their vehicles and no one could face any problems at the time of celebrations.
Dilli Rao asked officials to decorate the main dais and premises in coordination with church representatives and AP Christian (Minority) Corporation authorities. He said seating arrangements necessary must be made as per protocol.
