Polavaram Was Destroyed During the TD Government, and YSRC Ready to Prove It
Vijayawada: Minister for Water Resources Ambati Rambabu said that Telugu Desam chief Chandrababu Naidu went into frustration unable to get the public’s support for his party hence started heedless attacks against Jagan Mohan Reddy's government. The minister refuting Naidu's claim of completing 72% construction of Polavaram has challenged that they are ready to prove devastation to the Polavaram project during the Chandrababu government and ready for public debate on Polavaram. Alleging that TD and JS destroyed AP State, Minister Rambabu asked Naidu how many seats would be given to JS in the 2024 elections. Refuting claims of Naidu of completing 72% of Polavaram, the minister dared that Polavaram was destroyed during the Chandrababu government and they are ready to prove it and further to expose in the public debate.
Addressing a press meet here on Saturday, Minister Rambabu said that Chandrababu worked as the Chief Minister of this state thrice as people gave him the opportunity to work as CM for 14 years but he cannot ask the public to choose him again quoting his governance and administration as he never worked for public welfare and development. He claimed that as Naidu knows the repetition of the 2019 results, Naidu contesting elections as an alliance unable to face Jagan Mohan Reddy. He asked Naidu why he wanted to bring Jana Sena and Pawan Kalyan with him. Does Chandrababu have the guts to answer these questions and contest elections directly?
Asking why Naidu had opted for the Kuppam seat running away from Chandragiri and Nara Lokesh choosing the Mangalagiri seat, Minister Rambabu said that the father and son duo belongs to Rayalaseema hence they should contest from there. He further said that Nandamuri Balakrishna should contest from Gudivada but he went to Hindupur, Nandamuri Suhasini contested from Kukatpally and Daggubati Purandeswari contested from other places which shows the Naidu family choosing non-local seats. He said that there is nothing wrong with the change of segments to YSRC aspirants and its party strategy for the 2024 elections.
Minister Rambabu said, “Our party has started the election process. As a part of that, we are changing some seats internally. Some are being denied seats this time. We are shifting some people to different constituencies. It is not only a target to win all 175 seats and return to power. We are coming up with a strategy to defeat TD and Jana Sena without a single-seat win in this state. The reason for this is that during Jagan Mohan Reddy's rule, government welfare schemes reached all the people and more than 50 percent of the people want Jagan Mohan Reddy to be the Chief Minister again.”
