Visakhapatnam Zoo Roars With Record Crowd and Revenue in Karthika Month

Visakhapatnam: The Visakhapatnam Zoo witnessed a joyous surge in visitors and revenue during the auspicious Karthika month, solidifying its position as a premier recreational destination in the region.

A remarkable 72,907 individuals, comprising 57,955 adults, 14,929 children, and 23 foreign tourists, graced the zoo's premises, marking a significant increase compared to previous years.

The festive period translated into an impressive Rs. 63.71 lakh in revenue, a testament to the zoo's growing popularity and efficient management.

The arrival of a mouse deer and a Chowsinga, both acquired from the renowned Kakatiya Zoological Park in Warangal, added a touch of novelty and excitement to the visitor experience.

Curiosity and Admiration: These charming creatures have quickly become crowd favorites, drawing enthusiastic attention from animal lovers of all ages.

In a move to cater to the festive rush, the zoo extended its opening hours to every Monday from November 13 to December 13, offering additional opportunities for families to enjoy the animal exhibits.
With Karthika Masam concluding, the zoo will resume its regular schedule of Monday holidays and Wednesday openings from December 18 onwards.

Nandani Salaria, the zoo curator, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming public response and reiterated the zoo's commitment to providing a consistently enriching and enjoyable experience for visitors.
