Raghavendra Rao’s advice to NSTL scientists
Vishakapatnam: Veteran film producer and director Raghavendra Rao told scientists at Naval Science Technological Laboratory (NSTL) that the best is expected from them, just as audience expect the best from movies.
The producer-director had been invited for a talk at the meeting of NSTL Science Council in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Raghavendra Rao compared audience of movies to Army, Navy and Air Force personnel using weapons developed by various DRDO laboratories. “Both expect the best,” he observed, asking scientific community to give its best outputs to the nation.
Concluding his talk, the producer-director felt creativity in the cinema world can lead to innovations in the scientific world.
The science council meeting is part of ongoing technical talks being organised by the Lab Science Council.
Dr. S.L. Srinivas, Scientist-E of NSTL, delivered an expert talk on "Non-Contact Cross Medium Connection".
Dr. Y. Sreenivas Rao, outstanding scientist and Director NSTL presided over the meeting. Senior scientists P.V.S. Ganesh Kumar and B.V.S.S. Krishna Kumar, apart from other scientists, officers and staff of NSTL participated in the programme.
