HC closes suo moto contempt case against advocate
HYDERABAD: A two-judge bench of the Telangana High Court on Friday closed a suo motu contempt case initiated against advocate B. Balamukunda Rao for issuing a notice to Justice P. Madhavi Devi.
On an earlier occasion, the bench observed that the advocate had filed written remarks and during interaction with him, he failed to show any remorse regarding his conduct both inside and outside the court. Though he tendered an apology, it was not considered unqualified.
The bench granted time to Rao to ponder over his misconduct and file an affidavit seeking an unqualified apology. “We hope these types of acts will not be repeated by him. Bench and bar are a family and let us respect each other and not indulge in such acts”, the bench said while dismissing the case.
