Rat bites wire, causes fire at Hyderabad airport
Hyderabad: A fire broke out in the terminal building at the RGI airport on Saturday morning. CISF personnel at the airport doused the fire immediately.
Prima facie, it was found that an electric short circuit in the electrical wiring resulting out of a rat bite led to the fire, officials said. This , however did not affect any Operations in the airport, they confirmed.
According to officials at the airport, fire broke out in the office of a private airlines located in the main terminal. Alerted by the fire alarm, CISF personnel rushed to alarmed area and extinguished electrical short circuit fire, an official confirmed.
The Incident happened around 9am inside the office of a private airline and it was very small and put off immediately.
There was very less passenger movement near the office at the time of the fire as no fights of the airline were scheduled at that time, they said.
