CM inspects Secretariat construction works
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao directed roads and buildings minister V. Prashant Reddy and department officials to complete construction of the Secretariat complex early but without compromising on quality. He wanted works of all related departments to be majestic.
He was speaking after reviewing the progress of the works. Rao told officials to go in for new models for slabs, domes, interiors and furniture. He also inspected the progress of works pertaining to ministers' chambers, meeting halls and ante-rooms. Rao instructed officials to create greenery and landscaping on the two-acre free space inside the premises.
The Chief Minister enquired about the quality of grills, red stone and drainage construction works. He sought a speedier completion of visitors lounge and soil filling work along with the Secretariat wall. He called for separate arrangements for parking of vehicles of foreign delegates, ministers, MPs, MLCs, MLAs and visitors.
Rao examined the album pertaining to the construction works and sought details of each work.
