Anand clears stand on SI couple pre-wedding shoot
Hyderabad: After a video clip of a pre-wedding shoot of an SI couple had gone viral on social media platforms, city police commissioner C.V. Anand said that he found nothing wrong in it and that it was a great news, though a little
embarrassing.
Taking to X, Anand wrote that he had seen mixed reactions to the video. “Honestly, they seem to be a little overexcited about their marriage and that’s a great news, though a little embarrassing,” he wrote. The couple got
married in August, but their pre-wedding shoot videos came to light on Saturday. The commissioner said that the job of police personnel is a very tough, especially for women. He appreciated woman SI K. Bhavana, deputed at
Punjagutta police station, for marrying Ravuri Kishore, an SI with the Armed Reserve Wing.
“She found a spouse in the department, which is an occasion for all of us to celebrate. The fact that both are police officers, I find nothing wrong in them using the police department property and symbols. Had they informed us
earlier we would have definitely given consent for the shoot,” Anand wrote.
Expressing his wish to have blessed the couple, Anand further wrote “Some of us may feel outraged, but I feel like meeting them and blessing them, though they didn’t invite me for their wedding. Of course, I advise others not to
repeat this without proper permission. (Sic).”
