Congress workers flock to Vijayabheri meeting

Nizamabad: Congress leaders and activists flocked to the Vijayabheri public meeting in Rangareddy district on Sunday. The mobilisation of individuals was spearheaded by senior party leaders.

The public gathering was attended by representatives from all nine Assembly constituencies. Vehicles were arranged for the meeting in Vijayabheri by the leaders of the different Assembly constituencies. Despite police limitations, a considerable number of members of Congress attended the conference.

Gortha Rajender, Armoor Assembly constituency leader and former president of the district sarpanches association told Deccan Chronicle that Congress activists actively participated in the Vijayabheri gathering.

'Congress activists attended the conference to hear AICC former president Sonia Gandhi's address, which gave distinct Telangana status,' he claimed. Six congressional guarantees will deliver the party to power, he claims.
