‘No shortage of fertilizers’ under BJP rule, Modi-govt termed as farmer-friendly
Adilabad: BJP leaders on Monday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is doing his best for the farming community and releasing funds for them periodically under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman.
The leaders thanked the PM at the Kisan Sammelan organised in the Krushi Vignanan Kedra in Adilabad town, marking the release of funds under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman. Adilabad MP Soyam Bapu Rao and party district president Payal Shankar were present.
Soyam Bapu Rao said the central government was making all-out efforts to ensure there will not be any shortage of fertilizers. He stressed on organic farming that would help reduce the use of chemicals and pesticides that caused cancer. Punjab, he said, has the highest cancer cases due to heavy use of chemicals and pesticides in their farms. Telangana has the second highest number of cancer cases.
He noted that the central government is directly depositing `16,000 crore via Kisan Samman Nidhi into the bank accounts of farmers across the country.
District Kisan Morcha president Dayakar, BJP town president Lala Munna, senior leaders Dinesh Matolia, Jogu Ravi, Veda Vyas, Rajesh and Nagesh Reddy were present.
