Bhadradri temple to hold grand Pattabhishekam in 2023
Bhadrachalam: The Vaidik committee and officials of Bhadrachalam temple trust would invite President Draupadi Murmu for the Pushkara Samrajya Pattabhisheka Mahostavam that’s held after the Sriramanavami in 2023.
The festival is held after 12 years in Sobhakrith Telugu Nama Samvatsara after Subhakrith, which is currently running.
Governors and chief ministers of various states would also be invited for the events in tune with the temple traditions. Four teams were formed to collect the sacred waters from 12 rivers including the Ganga, Yamuna, Kaveri and Krishna for the Puskhara Pattabhishekam.
China Jeer Swamy will be invited to perform the events and rituals with a spiritual fervour, as also the Peethadhipatis of various Peethams for the 12-day festival.
A silver chariot was made for Pattabhishekam in 1987. It is proposed to make a gold chariot this time by collecting donations.
Officials and vaidik committee members have also proposed to hoist nine different flags (dwajams) on all the houses in the holy town for nine days during the festival. Twelve teams comprising Vaidik committee members and temple officials will look after the programmes. The names of the 12 teams will reflect the episodes of Ramayana.
The events and celebrations in the temple had been performed in modest ways in the past two years due to the Covid spread. A souvenir will also be brought out during the festival.
