Nirmal: A private van caught fire and burnt due to a short circuit while it was on its way to drop school students in Nirmal town from Akkapur village on Wednesday morning.
A major incident was averted when the alert driver asked the kids to get down immediately when the van caught near SP office in Nirmal town.
The students panicked when they saw the van that they were travelling in, burning.
According to sources, as many as 10 students were travelling in the van when it caught fire. All the students escaped unhurt.
