Vizag mayor, commissioner keen on expansion of Arilova roads
VISAKHAPATNAM: The expansion of roads in the 11th ward of Arilova has garnered the focused attention of Vizag's mayor Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari and GVMC commissioner C.M. Sai Kant Varma. During their visit to Arilova, Parvati Nagar, Balaji Nagar, Totagaruvu Junction, Ravindranagar, and Old Dairy Farm, both officials emphasized the ongoing efforts to widen the roadways.
A comprehensive inspection was conducted, encompassing key sections like the stretch from Saibaba Mandir to Ambedkar Statue, Ambedkar Statue to Pedagadili Junction, and Thota Guru to Rabindra Nagar Junction.
Commissioner C.M. Sai Kant Varma underscored the need to address encroachments along the main road and the green belt area in Arilova. Additionally, plans were discussed for the expansion of culverts and bridges along the Arilova main road, along with initiatives to modernize Vivekananda Park.
Town Planning Officer Sunitha was directed to promptly remove encroachments and construction debris along the road in the Arilova vicinity. Furthermore, supervising engineer Syaosan Raju received instructions to liaise with the relevant contractor to expedite footpath and underground drainage projects in Pedagadili.
Chief Engineer Ravi Krishnam Raju, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Naresh Kumar, Zonal Commissioner Kanakamahalakshmi, AMOH Kishore, Executive Engineer Matsya Raju, and other officials were among those who were present.
