Jagan presents gift to Nandyal: Buggana

Kurnool: Finance minister Buggana Rajendranath, speaking on a lighter note, compared Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's dedication to solving the district's water woes to presenting a precious gift to the people of the district.

He humorously noted that typically, people offer gifts to their in-laws when they visit, but in a reversal of roles, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy presented a priceless gift to the district.

Addressing a public meeting in Dhone on Tuesday, he compared Jagan Mohan Reddy as in-law of the district and said people present a gift to their in-laws whenever they come to home.

In his jovial remarks, Rajendranath described the Chief Minister as a common man who appeared on stage in khaki trousers and a white shirt. He praised Jagan Mohan Reddy's unwavering focus on the region, leading to the development of 77 irrigation tanks in four assembly segments.

He stressed that Dhone has become a model constituency, experiencing comprehensive development in education, industries, water projects, and connectivity. He noted that those who criticise the state's progress fail to observe these achievements.

Rajendranath also appealed to the Chief Minister to consider allocating funds for drip irrigation, horticulture development, and an MSME park in Bethamcherla mandal. He mentioned that they would expose all irregularities of the Opposition in the upcoming assembly sessions. He criticised the relay hunger protests conducted by Opposition leaders, asserting that there is no harm in pursuing legal action against former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu who was involved in embezzling over Rs 300 crore.
