Hyderabad: The Hyderabad district election authority, in an attempt to encourage voters to turn out for the November 30 polls, is pasting stickers on the Swachh Auto Tippers (SATs) and making announcements for the purpose.
It is also distributing voter information slips (VIS) and voter guides. The stickers and the audio announcements also inform the people about the poll date and time.
The VIS contains the name of the voer, polling station details and polling date and is being distributed by booth level officers (BLOs) along with the voter guide, a booklet consisting of election related information.
The voting process, eligibility criteria, postal ballot facilities is some of the information mentioned in the voter guide. The booklet also has step by step instructions related to voting.
At multiple locations, the GHMC is also pasting stickers with the date and polling station printed on it to encourage voters. As a part of Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activity, the officials have held awareness campaigns at some degree & PG colleges in the city including Kasturba Gandhi Degree & PG College for Women, Secunderabad.
