Andhra Pradesh High Court Wants no Curbs Imposed on Ganta

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh High Court has ruled that no curbs be imposed on former minister and Visakhapatnam North constituency MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao.

The court’s orders came after the MLA approached the High Court complaining that ever since Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest, Vizag district police are often putting the city’s TD leaders under house arrest and restricting them from moving anywhere.

In response, the High Court issued orders to Visakhapatnam police not to create obstacles for Ganta Srinivasa Rao.

District Telugu Desam Women's president Sarvasiddhi Anantalakshmi has started recitation of Lalita Sahasranama, seeking speedy release of Chandrababu Naidu from jail.

Vizag South constituency in-charge Gandi Babji and other TD activists sat on their knees holding black balloons at Jagadamba centre in protest against the arrest of the former chief minister. Babji described Naidu’s arrest as a conspiracy.
