Sophisticated Command Control Centre set up in Rajamahendravaram
Kakinada: Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) has set up a sophisticated Command Control Centre (CCC) at its office with a 139-inch Active LED Aqua Screen with 300-pixel resolution, which is the first in Andhra Pradesh.
The 213 CC cameras installed all over the city, including the 95 in ward secretariats will be connected to the CCC, which will enable authorities toidentify sanitation issues, drainage and water leakages, and stagnation of rainwater, among other issues. This will facilitate quick resolution of these problems.
Sanitation and other vehicles of RMC have been equipped with GPS, while attendance will be through face recognition. This will help officials keep an eye on both the vehicles and its personnel. This is expected to bring in
more discipline among the municipal staff.
CCC chief M. Ravi Teja told Deccan Chronicle that the centre will monitor nine components, including grievance management, vehicle tracking, employee attendance, communication, resource allocation, asset management, work analysis and reporting. He said a US-patented mike system has been arranged for organising conferences, wherein audiences can hear the proceedings in their own language.
He said the national challenge like Swachch Sarvekshan will become better.
Ravi Teja said they will also be utilising social media to reach the three lakh people of the city. This will make communication efficient, including matters like working of street lights. Their target is to solve any
grievance with regard to streetlights within 24 hours.
RMC municipal commissioner K. Dinesh Kumar said all efforts are being made to provide better services to people of Rajamahendravaram city, without compromising on quality of services. He requested people to cooperate with
the corporation in this regard.
