Avanti pledges justice for Adavivaram BRTS-affected families
Visakhapatnam: Former minister and Bheemili MLA Muttamshetty Srinivasa Rao has taken up the cause of the Adavivaram BRTS-affected families, assuring them of full compensation and justice.
During a meeting with district officials in the Visakhapatnam district collector's office, Avanti acknowledged the need to widen the BRTS road at Adavivaram to address traffic congestion, particularly during Giri Pradakshina. However, he emphasised that the well-being of the affected families remains a top priority.
Avanti outlined a comprehensive plan to address the concerns of the displaced residents:
Those who have lost their homes due to road widening will be provided with full TDR (Transferable Development Rights) in four phases before December 1.
Individuals who have lost half of their houses and whose cases are pending in court will be permitted to construct houses on the land they currently occupy.
Families who have completely lost their homes due to road widening will be provided with housing in Jagananna Colony.
Avanti expressed his unwavering commitment to resolving this long-standing issue, stating, "I have considered this 17-year-old problem as my own village issue, and I will do everything in my power to achieve justice for the affected families."
He further added that he has discussed the matter with Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Y.V. Subba Reddy to expedite a favourable resolution.
