20 IPS Officers Transferred, Ravi Gupta Remains DGP in State Govt's Reshuffle
HYDERABAD: The state government on Tuesday transferred 20 IPS officers and retained Ravi Gupta as Director General of Police. Appointed by the Election Commission when the model code of conduct was in place, Gupta will continue to hold full additional charge as DGP (head of police force, HoPF) and also as DGP Coordination.
Anjani Kumar was posted as chairman, Road Safety Authority, and placed in full additional charge of commissioner, printing and stationery.
C.V. Anand was named the Director General (DG), Anti Corruption Bureau, while Rajiv Ratan was transferred and posted as DG, Vigilance & Enforcement.
Abhilasha Bisht is posted as director, RBVRR Telangana State Police Academy, given full additional charge of the post of inspector general (IG), Training.
Dr Soumya Mishra was posted as DG, prisons & correctional services, and Shikha Goel as Additional DGP, CID. She is also given full additional charge as director, TS Cyber Security Bureau and Additional DGP Technical Services. Goel will also continue as director (Incharge), TS Forensic Science Laboratory.
Mahesh M Bhagwat was posted as Additional DGP, railways and road safety and given full additional charge of organisation and legal.
Dr Anil Kumar will be DG, TS Protection Force, and M. Stephen Raveendra IG, Home Guards along with full additional charge of welfare and sports.
Dr Tarun Joshi was posted as IG, Multi Zone-II, Hyderabad and given full additional charge as IG, Multi Zone-I. A.R. Srinivas was posted as Director, ACB.
S. Chandrasekhar Reddy was posted as IG, personnel, and V.B. Kamalasan Reddy was given full additional charge as director, prohibition and excise. M. Ramesh, IG, provisioning and logistics, was placed in full additional charge of MD, TS Police Housing Corporation.
K. Ramesh Naidu was posted as DIG, CID. M. Srinivasulu was directed to report to the DGP office. B. Sumathi was posted as DIG Special Intelligence Bureau and Sharat Chandra Pawar as as DCP, central zone.
